Oil & Gas Manufacturing

PED-certified pressure equipment, piping modules, and process skids, with the Manufacturing Data Record built during production, not after it.

First In Service manufactures PED 2014/68/EU certified pressure equipment and process modules in Tallinn, Estonia — pressure vessels, tanks, piping modules and skids in carbon steel, stainless, duplex and super duplex, fabricated to 160 tonnes and machined to ±0.02 mm. Every delivery ships with a complete Manufacturing Data Record: EN 10204 3.1 material certificates (3.2 on request), NDT reports (VT, PT, MT, UT) by certified partners, dimensional logs and pressure test protocols. NORSOK M-501 and C5-M coating is applied in-house.

If your equipment is not listed, ask anyway. The envelope and the documentation scope decide fit, not the part name.

What failure costs

In process industries, the paperwork is part of the pressure boundary.

A pressure vessel without a complete documentation trail is not a late delivery — it is a component that legally cannot enter service. Missing 3.1 certificates, incomplete NDT records, or an unclear PED conformity route stop a commissioning schedule as surely as a failed hydrotest. And when a subcontractor discovers the gap late, it becomes your gap. Oil & gas procurement lives and dies on suppliers who treat the Manufacturing Data Record as part of the product, not an administrative afterthought.

Our approach

PED-certified production with the MDR built as we build.

We manufacture pressure vessels, tanks, piping modules, and process skids to PED 2014/68/EU in our 18,000 m² Tallinn facility. Material traceability starts at plate receipt and follows every heat number through cutting, welding, NDT, and pressure testing, so the documentation package is complete the day the component is, not weeks after.

Typical scope

Pressure equipment: Vessels, tanks, columns to PED category
Modules: Piping modules, process skids, fabricated and tested
Rotating equipment parts: Impellers, casings, shafts — machined to ±0.02 mm

Relevant equipment

Heavy fabrication: 35×7×7 m envelope, 160 t, SAW to 100 mm
FERMAT WRF 130: Boring mill X: 13,500 mm — large casings and bodies
SC27 VTL: Vertical turning to Ø 2,700 mm — flanges, tube sheets
Testing: Hydraulic and pneumatic pressure testing, FAT protocols

Materials

Steels: Carbon steel, stainless steel
Corrosion-resistant: Duplex, super duplex
Traceability: Heat-number tracking, EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2

Standards & compliance

Pressure equipment: PED 2014/68/EU
Welding quality: EN 3834-2, EN 1090-2
NDT: VT, PT, MT, UT via certified partners
Coating: NORSOK M-501, C5-M
Delivery reliability

One site, one contract, one accountable counterparty.

Fabrication, machining, surface treatment, assembly, and FAT under one roof means no inter-supplier handoffs where schedule and traceability go to die. EU origin simplifies customs and content requirements for European projects, and port access 20 km away keeps oversized module transport off congested corridors.

FAQ

Questions oil & gas buyers ask

Can First In Service manufacture PED-certified pressure equipment?

Yes. Pressure vessels, tanks, piping modules, and skids to PED 2014/68/EU, with the conformity assessment route defined by the equipment category.

What documentation ships with oil & gas components?

A complete Manufacturing Data Record: EN 10204 3.1 material certificates (3.2 on request), NDT reports (VT, PT, MT, UT via certified partners), dimensional logs, and pressure test protocols.

What materials do you process for oil & gas service?

Carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex and super duplex — selected to service conditions, with full heat-number traceability from plate to finished component.

Do you provide NORSOK-compliant surface treatment?

Yes. Automated shot-blasting and coating systems to NORSOK M-501 and C5-M for offshore and coastal installations.

Can you handle both fabrication and machining in one contract?

Yes — that is the point of our model. Fabrication, precision machining, surface treatment, and assembly with FAT happen in one Tallinn facility under one contract and one quality system.
